Join the Sterile Processing Team at BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital. Christian Hospital has a long history of serving the community and is part of BJC HealthCare.

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, and requires CRCST certification to prepare and sterilize instruments for surgeries. You will work with the operating room team to ensure sterile, ready-to-use equipment, while following established procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification required or preferred.
• Experience in sterile processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule.
• Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers.
• Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose.
