Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a CS Technician to support the sterile processing department. Under supervision, you will decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and related equipment.

The role requires CRCST certification and completion of a Central Sterile Processing Program, with the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and requires High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Completion of Central Sterile Processing Program is required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, disassembles, inspects and lubricates instrumentation, scopes and equipment.
• Assembles and sterilizes instrument sets, endoscopes, trays and miscellaneous goods.
• Selects and prepares packaging material; labels, initials and dates all prepared packages.
• Operates, checks, cleans and troubleshoots equipment; documents sterilization records.
