Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Certification required within 2 years if hired after 2017 (CRCST or CSPDT).
• Experience or understanding of sterile processing standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instruments per manufacturer and department guidance.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Assembles instrument trays and ensures sterility for use.
• Operates washer/disinfector, ultrasonic cleaners, and AER.
• Documents load contents and tracks through the system.
• Maintains cleanliness of the department and processing equipment.
• Adheres to safety, policies, and ongoing education.
