Qualifications

• Operate sterilization equipment according to sterilization parameters.
• Care for instruments, selecting appropriate cleaning agents and lubricants.
• Peel-pack and wrap instruments for sterilization; inspect for cleanliness and completeness.
• Adhere to Standard Precautions and FSC policies to ensure safety.
• Handle infectious waste following approved procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates sterilization equipment accurately and safely; prepares, assembles, and sterilizes instruments and supplies per parameters.
• Cares for instruments, selecting cleaning agents and lubricants appropriately.
• Peel-packs supplies, wraps instruments, inspects for use and cleanliness.
• Ensures patient, staff and visitor safety; follows FSC policies and standards.
• Cleans, sets up, sterilizes and distributes instruments as scheduled per shift.
• Handles and disposes of infectious waste properly.
• Adheres to standard precautions, using protective gear as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
