Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule with afternoon/evening shifts. You will reprocess instruments, perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and storage following infection control standards.

The role requires careful attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and collaboration with Surgical Services and other hospital departments. Benefits are included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Decontamination and sterilization procedures following infection control practices.
• Accurate assembly, packaging and inspection of instruments for sterilization.
• Ability to work under pressure and within hospital workflows.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess instrument management including decontamination, assembly, preparation, packaging and storage.
• Inspect and correctly assemble surgical instruments with proper packaging, integrators and BI's.
• Select appropriate sterilization or high-level disinfection method and confirm results.
• Care for instruments after sterilization including storage and handling.
