HCA Healthcare is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized and ready for procedures in Jacksonville, FL. You will be integral to a safe, high-quality care environment.

Responsibilities include organizing trays, monitoring cycles, and coordinating with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries. Requires aseptic technique training, 1 year sterilization experience, and BCLS certification; CP Certification per facility/state is also required.

Qualifications

• Training in basic aseptic technique and sterile processing.
• One year experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.
• Certification in Central Processing as per facility and state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
