Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year instrumentation experience OR completion of a Central Service vocational program with full certification.
• Central Service certification within one year of hire.
• Preferred: vocational Central Service program.
• One year instrumentation experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable instruments and equipment.
• Cleaning, packaging and re-processing of reusable surgical equipment, instrumentation and scopes per guidelines.
• Maintaining inventory and storage of processed supplies.
• Meeting the needs of the surgical team through support of sterile core activities.
