HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for every procedure. You will support surgical staff by maintaining rigorous sterilization standards and accurate recordkeeping.

The role emphasizes teamwork with the OR and supply chain teams, adherence to infection control, and dependable response to instrument requests during procedures.

Qualifications

• CSPDT or CRCST certification required; work experience may substitute degree.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow sterile processing procedures and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain records to support patient safety.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules.
• Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and ensure availability for procedures.
• Respond to instrument requests during surgeries and address urgent equipment needs.
