Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to join the Blodgett Hospital SPD. This full-time day-shift role supports cleaning, decontamination, sterilization and distribution of instruments used in surgery, following the established processing cycle.

Orientation is 90 days with a 6-week initial SPD 101 class and a preceptor to guide you. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is offered to new hires, and we provide comprehensive benefits and opportunities to learn across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CBSPD CSPM or IAHCSMM certification required within 1 year 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instrumentation.
• Follow processing cycle: Decontam>Inspect>Assemble>Package>Sterilize>Inspect>Store>Inspect >Dispense.
• Maintain record keeping and tracking for processed items.
