Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to support infection control by preparing, cleaning, sterilizing and distributing sterile instruments for OR, Labor & Delivery, and related areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with CRCST certification within six months of hire (CER preferred). Prior sterile processing experience is preferred, with a full-time evening shift from 3pm to 11:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification within 6 months of employment; CER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, inspects and assembles sterile instruments and equipment.
• Cleans, disinfects and distributes patient care equipment and surgical instruments.
• Operates and documents results of decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Delivers equipment and replenishes supplies for OR, L&D and related areas.
• Transports soiled and sterile instrumentation between facilities.
• Assists in orientation and training of new hires.
