Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support infection control by cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing medical instrumentation for the OR, L&D, and bedside care.

You will inspect instruments, operate decontamination equipment, and assist in training new staff. The role requires a high school diploma, CRCST certification within 6 months, and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST/CBSPD certification within 6 months of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, inspects and assembles surgical instruments and endoscopes for sterilization.
• Collects, cleans, disinfects patient care equipment and surgical instruments.
• Assists in training new hires and staff.
