Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to support infection control by preparing, cleaning, disinfecting and distributing portable patient care equipment and surgical instruments. The role covers ORs, Labor & Delivery, and Endoscopy areas.

The position requires previous sterile processing experience or related training, a high school diploma or GED, and CRCST/CBSPD certification within 6 months. Benefits and a fast-paced hospital environment offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST/CBSPD certification or enrollment required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect and prepare surgical instruments, powered equipment, and endoscopes for sterilization.
• Clean, disinfect and transport patient care equipment and instruments between units and ORs.
• Assist in orientation and training of new hires.
• Monitor and document results of decontamination processes.
• Distribute clean and sterile equipment and maintain supplies for OR case carts.
• Transport soiled and sterile instruments between facilities.
