Job summary

City of Richland is seeking a Supervisor of Sterile Processing & Surgical Services Materials Management to oversee daily SPD operations, ensure compliance with standards, and coordinate inventory and case readiness across OR and perioperative teams.

The role collaborates with Infection Prevention, Supply Chain, and vendor partners to optimize workflows and staffing while driving quality and financial accountability.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years in sterile processing, OR supply chain, or related clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, AAMI, AORN, OSHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Sterile Processing and Surgical Services Materials Management.
• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for SPD staff.
• Develop staffing schedules and allocate resources to support case volumes and on‑call needs.
• Act as SME for OR staff regarding instrumentation, readiness, and supply availability.
• Maintain contract files and support contract evaluation with the Director.
• Lead internal audits and maintain documentation for inspections and surveys.
