Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and 3 years Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing is essential.
• Previous supervisory and administrative experience required.
• Certification as a sterile processing technician is preferred; if not certified, must obtain within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation of the department and care/assembly of surgical instruments.
• Supervise and evaluate subordinate staff.
• Oversee orientation, training and supervision of new staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and staff work assignments.
• Participate in regular QA meetings and initiatives.
