Job summary

VHC Health in Arlington, VA seeks a Central Sterile Processing Supervisor (Days) to oversee staff, coordinate cleaning, sterilization, and delivery of sterile supplies, and ensure adherence to infection control and hospital policy.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a central service technician certificate, and at least three years in sterile processing with supervisory experience preferred; certification within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Three years of sterile processing experience is required.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Certification in Central Sterile Processing to be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in collecting, cleaning, processing, sterilization and delivering sterile supplies and equipment.
• Establishes methods and performance standards for preparing, sterilizing, and handling sterile items.
• Directs hiring, evaluating and disciplinary actions within Hospital policy; ensures infection control guidelines are followed.
