Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks a Supervisor for the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Operations at Baystate Medical Center. The role directs daily SPD flow, staffing and readiness, while guiding technicians and service coordinators.

It requires 3+ years leading sterile processing with CRCST or equivalent and strong coaching skills. You will support performance appraisals, policy adherence and process improvements, fostering trust and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in sterile processing with CRCST or equivalent.
• Experience with staff coaching, performance feedback and evaluations.
• Knowledge of policy adherence and quality assurance in SPD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational flow, staffing, scheduling and discipline in SPD.
• Coordinate readiness, assign work and supervise SPD technicians and service coordinators.
• Support training, coaching and performance appraisal processes.
• Assist in policy adherence, quality assurance, and process improvement.
• Promote a collaborative environment and effective cross‑department communication.
