Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin is seeking a Sterile Processing leader to supervise daily operations, manage staffing, budgets, and vendor relations, and drive standardization across the health system.

The role ensures compliance with safety and sterilization standards, conducts audits, and travels to facilities to uphold consistent, high-quality processing throughout Ascension's health system.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Supervisory experience in Sterile Processing is preferred.
• CRCST or CIS Certification must be obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialing pathways per the note in the job description.

Responsabilités

• Establishes departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy while managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relations; tracks instrument distribution and loss to drive cost containment, supply reduction, and standardization.
• Develops and enforces SPD safety, security, and sterilization standards in compliance with industry regulations, using regular audit metrics and quality assurance programs to continuously improve processes across the health system.
• Manages full-cycle staff relations, including recruitment, scheduling, payroll, performance management, conflict resolution, and student engagement to optimize operations and maintain high staff satisfaction.
• Monitors sterilization activities and process compliance across all health system facilities, traveling as needed to ensure consistent standards and operational excellence.
