The role requires credentialing within 12 months of hire, 3+ years of supervisory experience in Sterile Processing, and strong leadership skills; travel to facilities may be required to maintain standards and excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification: CBSPD, HSA/CIS, or NBSTSA credentialing within 12 months of hire date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 3 years experience or Associate's/Technical degree with 2 years experience or 7 years of applicable experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in Sterile Processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy while managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relations; tracks instrument distribution and loss to drive cost containment, supply reduction, and standardization.
• Develops and enforces SPD safety, security, and sterilization standards in compliance with industry regulations through audits and quality assurance programs.
• Manages full-cycle staff relations including recruitment, scheduling, payroll, performance management, conflict resolution, and student engagement to optimize operations.
• Monitors sterilization activities and process compliance across health system facilities; travels as needed to ensure consistent standards.
