Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• CRCST or CSPDT certifications required; CIS and CHL within two years of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor0degree preferred; management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures that the standards of operation of the department are in compliance with the standards set by regulatory agencies (CMS, TJC).
• Directs the overall activities of the unit including labor standards and budget monitoring.
• Provides department orientation and ongoing staff training; maintains documentation of staff competence.
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to develop skills and knowledge of others.
