Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Supervisor for Central Sterile Services in Lanham, MD. You will oversee CS staff, ensure accurate case cart assembly, and supervise performance with HR collaboration. The role emphasizes adherence to Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN, CDC, and SGNA standards.

Responsibilities include staff development, process improvement, inventory coordination with Materials Management, and problem resolution to maintain OR readiness and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a sterile processing or surgical services environment.
• One year of which included experience in a lead or supervisory position.
• CRCST certification required
• CHL certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises CS technical staff with orientation, training, coaching, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Directs daily department activities including scheduling and work assignments.
• Provides ongoing education and updates on new equipment, processes, and service changes.
• Performs quality assurance and data collection to monitor department effectiveness.
• Monitors case cart assembly to ensure accurate pulling, timely delivery, and proper identification.
• Develops department goals aligned with the organization's mission and reviews policies periodically.
