Job summary

Luminis Health in Lanham, MD is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to assemble and sterilize instrument sets, maintain case carts, and support OR operations. Role requires rotating weekends and on-call duties with adherence to strict dress code and sterile technique.

The position exists within Central Sterile Processing, with a pay range of $20.65 to $25 per hour and requires a high school diploma. CRCST/CBSPD certification is preferred; two years of experience is favored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience as a sterile processing technician preferred.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and sterilize instruments, trays, and linen packs accurately and promptly.
• Operate steam and plasma sterilizers; load/unload carts and verify tests.
• Document case cart builds and respond to OR requests in a timely manner.
• Perform high-level disinfection with accuracy.
• Complete physical inventory and ensure proper labeling and storage.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years experience in sterile processing

CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred
