Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Coordinator to oversee reusable sterile products across hospital areas. You will direct SPD shift activities, orient new staff, and ensure equipment and records meet governing standards.

The role requires CSPDT certification, knowledge of sterilization principles, and ongoing training compliance. You will collaborate with OR staff to support surgical cases and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and CSPDT certification required.
• Thorough knowledge of sterilization principles and AAMI standards.
• Initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line and department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff allocation, orientation, training, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and techs to support surgical cases in SPD/OR.
• Improve distribution of sterilized supplies and monitor efficiency.
• Maintain Process Improvement and attendance records for SPD.
• Uphold universal precautions and PPE; ensure a safe work environment.
• Monitor productivity and quality; complete required competencies.
