Job summary

The Sterile Processing Team Lead at Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME, evenings, oversees the sterile processing unit in partnership with the manager. You will supervise staff, coordinate activities, and cover the department during the manager's absence while taking calls on a rotating schedule.

Ideal candidates bring CS/OR tech experience, plus supervisory experience and strong organizational skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and collaboration with perioperative teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CS tech and/or OR tech required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a Central Service environment preferred.
• Experience in computer systems used at SMHC preferred.
• Some supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Team Lead works closely with the manager to support, coordinate and supervise personnel and unit activities.
• Assumes full responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.
• Takes call in rotation with line staff.
• Works on the service line a minimum of 6 hours a shift.
