Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME seeks a Sterile Processing Team Lead to support, coordinate and supervise personnel and unit activities. You will assume full responsibility for the department when the manager is absent and participate in on-call rotations with line staff.

The role requires CS/OR tech experience, plus supervisory capabilities and strong organizational skills, with a minimum of six hours per shift on the service line.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CS tech and/or OR tech required.
• Minimum of three years in a Central Service environment preferred.
• Experience with computer systems used at SMHC preferred.
• Some managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Proven demonstration of excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sterile Processing team and coordinate with the manager.
• Support and supervise personnel and unit activities.
• Assume full department responsibility in the manager's absence.
• Takes on-call in rotation with line staff.
• Work on the service line a minimum of 6 hours per shift.
