Job summary

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to reprocess and sterilize surgical and medical instruments. This full-time role covers the night shift (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM) at the Bangor, ME location, with a pay range of $18.75-$24.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Exemplary teamwork and professional conduct are valued.

Responsibilities

• Reprocesses and terminally sterilizes surgical and medical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain unit workflow and professional environment.
• Participate in huddles and daily postings to support unit goals.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization.
• Inspect instruments for proper function and readiness.
• Review inventory to maintain par levels without overstocking.
• Respond to the needs of physicians and other departments promptly.
