Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician – Certified to handle receiving, decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, packaging, and distributing sterile equipment and instrument trays. You will work within the OR processing team and ensure safe handling of PHI according to UH policies.

Required is a High School diploma or GED; Sterile Processing certification is preferred, with CBSPD or IAHCSMM credentials often essential for the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Sterile Processing program is preferred.
• Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required.

Responsibilities

• Picks surgical case carts, stores and distributes sterilized equipment.
• Participates as a productive member of the OR processing team.
• Maintains PHI and adheres to UH policies and procedures.
