Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead Technicians and oversee decontamination, assembly and sterilization of instruments across the Medical Center complex.

The role requires 3 years of Sterile Processing experience, and dual CRCST/CSPDT and CIS/SIS certification, with CHL or CSPM due within 12 months. Strong leadership, communication and compliance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in Sterile Processing (required).
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required).
• Double Certification by a nationally recognized program for Sterile Processing Technicians (CRCST or CSPDT AND CIS or SIS) (required).
• CHL or CSPM Certification must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Sterile Processing Technicians and assign daily work; coach for quality.
• Oversee decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments and sets.
• Coordinate case cart assembly and delivery to using areas on schedule.
• Monitor sterilization processes and equipment performance; report issues.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance counseling as needed to staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, department policies, and regulatory standards.
