Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Lead for the Evening Shift (3pm–11pm). You will manage staff flow and oversee the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation to ensure patient needs are met.

Qualifications

• Must possess CRCST or CBSPD certification with minimum 2 years SPD experience.
• Advanced certification (CIS/CER/CHL) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff flow for the evening shift and manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation.
• Mentor, train, coach, and role model Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Maintain quality monitoring, documentation, and supply inventory; promote teamwork across departments.
