Job summary

The supervisor will maintain certification requirements, uphold sterilization standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD certification required/maintained.
• Minimum 3 years sterile processing experience, leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology and infection prevention.
• Knowledge of instrument names, functions and specialty sets.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical leadership for SPD operations.
• Supervise Lead Technicians and Sterile Processing Technicians I–III.
• Coordinate daily workflow, staff competency, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to standards and support perioperative goals.
• Deliver excellent customer service to perioperative and procedural areas.
