Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and disinfection of instruments. You will coordinate staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and guide audits to improve performance.

You will train staff, monitor inventory, and collaborate across departments to ensure availability of sterile equipment and case carts, while driving cost-efficiency and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a leadership role.
• Minimum two years in sterile processing or processing reusable medical equipment.
• Bachelor's degree with three years of sterile processing/healthcare ops experience OR six years in sterile processing/healthcare ops.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a designated work team, ensuring policy adherence.
• Lead audits and corrective actions to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and development to staff and mentor team members.
• Oversee inventory management and cost-control for instruments and supplies.
• Ensure compliant equipment processing, packing, and sterilization of instruments and case carts.
• Maintain regulatory records and reports and escalate non-compliance as needed.
