Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking a Sterile Processing Aide to support the Sterile Processing Department within Surgical Services, assisting with routine operations in the SPD and aiding the operating suite.

Responsibilities include clerical and manual tasks, inventory control such as receiving, verifying, storing and issuing instruments and supplies for case carts, and supporting the workflow around the Operating Suite.

The Sterile Processing Aide facilitates workflow within the Sterile Processing Department by assisting SPD staff with routine operations throughout Surgical Services, to include the Operating Suite.
The Sterile Processing Aide will also be expected to perform a variety of clerical and manual tasks involved in maintaining inventory controls; to include receiving, verifying, storing and issuing various supplies and instruments upon request or case cart requisition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent
