Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ seeks a Technician, Operations to perform hands-on sterile processing, assembly, sterilization, and inspection in a Grade C environment, supporting formulation development and GMP clinical supply. You will manage inventory, document processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires GMP knowledge, attention to detail, proficiency with electronic systems, ability to lift 50 lbs and work 100% on-site.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of relevant GMP Pharmaceutical experience.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office, SAP, and HMI.
Ability to pass eye and respiratory assessments and work in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

Assemble sterile equipment following drawings for clinical development and manufacturing.
Operate and maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment (parts washers, dry heat ovens, autoclaves).
Receive, inspect, and store sterile supplies ensuring inventory control.
Prepare and formulate sterile products in open and closed systems within Grade A isolator.
Perform visual inspections and maintain meticulous GMP documentation.
Collaborate across formulators, engineers, Quality, Safety, and Facilities to drive performance.
