Job summary

UnityPoint Health St. Luke's in Sioux City, IA is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacy team with aseptic preparation, IV solutions, and medication delivery across patient care areas.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to support neonatal through geriatric patients. Responsibilities include inventory management, ordering supplies, recalls, and ensuring accurate labeling and dispensing while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of related work experience or education to replace work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, manages scheduling of and preparation of chemotherapy, TPN's, IV additive solutions, and irrigating solutions using aseptic technique in the laminar air flow hoods.
• Assists the pharmacist with ordering supplies and pharmaceuticals, unpacks and stores drug supplies, manages recalls and DSCSA Regulations, rotates inventory, checks outdates, refills ADCs, utilizes bar codes in Omni refills and EMR system, refills/stocks crash carts, and delivers medication to patient care areas.
