Actalent is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 100% onsite role in Jupiter, FL. The position is contract-to-hire, focusing on prep, compounding, and production in a sterile environment.

The ideal candidate holds active state registration and 2+ years of sterile compounding (or 1+ year nonsterile in a hospital). The role offers competitive hourly pay and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the applicable state.
• 2+ years in sterile compounding, or 1+ year in nonsterile compounding in a hospital.
• Hands-on IV sterile compounding experience.
• Proficient sterile gowning techniques.
• Experience with sterile sampling procedures and fingertip testing.
• Ability to perform sterile media fills per regulatory/quality standards.
• Direct experience with USP 797/800 guidelines.
• Familiarity with Category 3 compounding requirements.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations including compounding, production, filling, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound sterile medications per USP 797/800 in a controlled environment.
• Perform daily IV sterile compounding using aseptic techniques.
• Execute gowning procedures to maintain cleanroom integrity.
• Conduct sterile sampling and fingertip glove testing for monitoring.
• Complete sterile media fills to validate aseptic technique.
• Assist production and filling of prescriptions with accuracy and labeling.
• SupportInventory management and replenishment of supplies.
• Follow hospital/compounding procedures ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to compounding safety standards for patient safety.
• Collaborate with bench staff to meet production goals and quality.
