The ideal candidate holds a Florida Pharmacy Technician license, has hospital experience, and can communicate clearly, work under supervision, and maintain accurate records while supporting patient care.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
Florida Registered Certified Pharmacy Technician license.
One year of hospital experience preferred.
Sterile and non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
Knowledge of automated dispensing technology preferred.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Effective communication, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of licensed pharmacists, assists in compounding (sterile and non-sterile), distribution and dispensing of medications and related supplies.
Assists in designing, coordinating, and implementing high quality and cost‑effective pharmacy technician services.
Adheres to sterile compounding policies and maintains records and training documentation.
Inspects storage areas monthly for proper labeling and expired medications; completes inspection documentation.
Promotes teamwork with pharmacists and technicians and identifies issues related to department budget and patient billing.
Attends educational seminars to maintain or enhance skills and competencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
