Job summary

The Manufacturing Technician I (Compound/Fill/Finish) at Alcami supports sterile injectable production in a fast-paced environment, following SOPs and batch records to ensure cGMP compliance. This role requires aseptic technique, PPE use, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ work experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Prior work experience in cGMP environments.
• NC Bioworks certificate considered without manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and executes manufacturing operations, including setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment used in dispensing, compounding, filling (isolators), and visual inspection.
• Become a subject matter expert (SME) on compounding/filling processes and equipment.
• Performs production processes with adherence to SOPs, batch records, quality standards, and minimizes deviations.
• Conducts in-process and end-of-process sampling/quality checks, ensuring all manufactured products meet standards.
• Identifies inefficiencies and escalates to area supervision to support continuous process improvement.
• Maintains accurate production documentation with minimal errors and escalate recommendations.
• Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and training requirements.
• Demonstrates technical ability in general manufacturing technologies and SOPs.
• Performs in-process sampling, weight checks, and component counting.
• Performs in-process inspection and finished product visual inspection.
• Performs cleaning of rooms, tools, and equipment.
• Assists with other manufacturing areas as required.
• Follows instructions and safety requirements; supports a safety-first culture.
• Works occasional hours outside scheduled shift, including weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.
