Tailor Made Compounding in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Sterile Compounding Lab Technician to join our team. The technician will work with pharmacists and the Lab Manager to prepare formulations under supervision, ensuring safety, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance.

The role emphasizes precise weighing, calibration of equipment, and documentation of temperatures, inventory, and destruction of expired materials. Strong math skills and basic Microsoft Office competence are required.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills required.
• Capable of handling small delicate analytical equipment.
• Basic level skill/experience in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience operating standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, USP guidelines, and SOPs for preparation of formulations.
• Take part in departmental meetings and participate in educational programs.
• Record refrigerator/freezer temperatures daily and document cleaning procedures.
• Inventory chemicals and lab supplies and coordinate ordering with Lab Manager.
• Prepare and document expired products for destruction monthly.
• Calibrate and document compounding equipment daily.
• Compound specialized non-sterile therapies with appropriate PPE.
• Weigh/measure ingredients using formulation worksheets and calibrated glassware.
• Assist with paperwork related to non-sterile compounding.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to HIPAA, state and federal laws, and company policies.
