Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in detail.
• Ability to handle occasional last-minute changes in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Order all medications necessary for everyday operation for the center on a daily basis.
• Order supplies for the Mix Room and Nursing Station.
• Keep accurate counts of drugs in the Nucleus dispensing unit.
• Process physician orders from nurses: receive, remove, compound and dispense.
• Use aseptic technique and proper mixology methods; ensure correct name, drug, and strength on bags.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area for all Mix Room personnel.
• Clean the Vertical Flow hood at the end of each shift.
• Comply with OSHA PPE requirements.
• Follow Arizona State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Other tasks as requested by management.
• Other site specific tasks.
