Job summary

American Oncology Management Company is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support chemotherapy preparation, dispensing, and inventory across clinic locations. Under supervision, you will prepare chemotherapy drugs, maintain Nucleus system accuracy, and coordinate with nursing to meet patient needs.

The role requires a minimum of three years in healthcare, PTCB certification or state registration, and a willingness to travel for meetings and training.

Qualifications

• PTCB Certification or registration is required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.
• Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under licensed supervision and state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
• Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications with minimal waste.
• Perform daily/annual maintenance of chemotherapy hoods and manage ambulatory pump documentation.
• Handle biohazardous waste disposal safely and coordinate with Accounting for recordkeeping.
• Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and related processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, patient privacy, OSHA, and policies.
• Assist in training new staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus workflows.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical reps to support patient care.
• Support operations across multiple locations and participate in mandatory Safety/OSHA trainings.
