Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to maintain efficient operations in the admixture area, safely preparing chemotherapy medications and managing inventory across satellite clinics.

You will review orders for accuracy, perform calculations for dilutions, and ensure compliance with clean room guidelines and safety procedures while collaborating with clinicians to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Professional certified pharmacy technician.
• TN State Pharmacy Technician license active or to be obtained within 90 days.
• Chemotherapy admixture experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to satellite clinics when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve medications required to fulfill medication orders.
• Review orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
• Perform mathematical calculations for dilutions and final concentrations.
• Aseptically prepare drug solutions and products.
• Maintain admixture area per clean room guidelines and procedures.
• Receive inventory and oversee dispensing of all drugs.
• Collaborate with the extended healthcare team to support patient care activities.
