The University of Kentucky is seeking a STEPS HIM Technician to collect, sort, scan and index patient medical records in a fast-paced medical records setting. You will perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and forward errors to the team lead.
This temporary, full-time role requires attention to detail, strong computer and communication skills, and excellent customer service as you manage fax and work queues and support clinics with scanning tasks.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Collecting, sorting, scanning and indexing patient medical records. Quality checks the scanned documentation to ensure it is indexed to the correct patient, document type and level. Forwarding errors to team lead for correction. Provides SWAT scanning support for clinics. Management and processing of fax queues and work queues. Troubleshoots and problem solves scanning and technical patient chart issues. Retrieving all available charts for completion
