Collecting, sorting, scanning and indexing patient medical records. Quality checks the scanned documentation to ensure it is indexed to the correct patient, document type and level. Forwarding errors to team lead for correction. Provides SWAT scanning support for clinics. Management and processing of fax queues and work queues. Troubleshoots and problem solves scanning and technical patient chart issues. Retrieving all available charts for completion, patient care, research, correspondence and other requestors. Ordering, returning, auditing and purging of offsite records. Cross trains with and assists other HIM divisions with tasks which may include but are not limited to data entry, task management, work queue management, clerical support, chart audits, both ongoing and special projects and other duties as assigned.
Please note: Effective 7/1/2026, this position will be titled HIM Technician/UKHC and will report through Information Technology Services in Beyond Blue.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; experience and knowledge in using Outlook, an EHR (electronic health record) have high attention to detail; excellent communication skills (both written & verbal); ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and to learn new things quickly.

Preferred Education/Experience: High school diploma and at least two years of medical records and/or document scanning experience highly preferred.
