Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Clinical Staff Leader for the Stepdown Unit in Clarksville, TN. The role oversees safe patient care delivery, supervises staff, and ensures adherence to policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities include clinical consultation, staff development, procedure support, and collaborative problem solving with leadership. Nights, full-time. A strong nursing foundation and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• RN licensure in state.
• Nursing leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical consultation and support to Stepdown Unit staff and oversees clinical quality efforts.
• Collaborates with Stepdown Manager/Director to maintain quality care standards.
• Ensures availability and readiness of supplies, equipment and stock to minimize disruptions.
• Supports professional development of staff through orientation and ongoing training.
• Assists physicians in procedures and provides first‑assist support as needed.
• Ensures accurate post‑procedure documentation and participates in performance evaluations.
