Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee is seeking an RN for the Step Down unit on the night shift. This full-time role (36 hours/week) requires close monitoring, with patients experiencing cardiac, vascular, and medical conditions. Night differential applies, and orientation is 8–12 weeks based on nursing experience.

The team engages in daily rounds with providers, case managers, and leaders to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• RN licensure required; BLS/ACLS as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient\'s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient\'s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
