Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Clarksville is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (Clinical Staff Leader) for the Stepdown Unit on nights. The role oversees safe patient care delivery, provides leadership, supervises staff, and ensures policy adherence in a 21-bed telemetry unit with complex cardiac and medical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• RN licensure in Tennessee or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical consultation and leadership to the Stepdown Unit staff to improve care quality and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborates with the Stepdown Manager/Director to maintain quality care standards.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment, addresses stock issues, and minimizes disruptions to patient care.
• Mentors staff, coordinates orientation and ongoing training, and assists with staffing and performance evaluations.
