Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee is seeking a registered nurse for our Step Down unit. You will contribute to planning, organizing, and delivering patient care within your scope of practice, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe, effective outcomes.

The role focuses on acutely ill but stable cardiac, vascular and medical patients, with 4:1 patient ratio, 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM shifts, and orientation of 8-12 weeks. A TN RN license and BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (TN)
• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
