Job summary

Duke University Hospital, part of Duke University Health System in Durham, NC, seeks a new graduate RN to join the General Surgery & Trauma Stepdown unit. You will provide patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in a comprehensive Nurse Residency Program.

Eligible new hires may receive a $15,000 commitment bonus and relocation assistance. Must have NC RN licensure and BSN-ready plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited BSN program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher); ADN or Nursing Diploma acceptable if enrolled in BSN within 2 years and completed within 5–7 years.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed/unlicensed staff as needed.
• Act as preceptor and support development of other staff and learners.
• Ensure safety, infection control and high-quality patient care across the unit.
