Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, GA is seeking a part-time RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down. The role covers 2 x 12-hour day shifts per week with some weekends, in a 24-bed PCU supported by patient care techs, RN staff, and charge nurses.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills for coordinating care across teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments, collects data on health history.
• Evaluates developmental age during assessments and education.
• Organizes data into care plan; identifies information gaps and outcomes.
• Carries out the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient condition and needs.
• Oversees activities of ancillary and support staff.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides resources.
• Communicates issues to Charge Nurse/Manager/Physician as appropriate.
• Documents patient care and concerns in the patient record.
