Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an RN for the new 10N Acute Surgical Care unit. This inpatient, bedside role offers a 36-hour workweek across three 12-hour shifts (7a–7p) with some weekends, joining a collaborative team building a 31-bed unit for adult patients awaiting or recovering from surgery.

The position emphasizes teamwork, nursing process application, and ongoing professional growth. RN licensure is required, with opportunities to advance clinical and educational skills within a leading

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Experience in acute/trauma surgery or surgical floor a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies interventions.
• Promotes health and a safe and healthy environment.
