Job summary

Vanderbilt Health’s 10S Elective Surgery Unit - A is seeking a registered nurse for a night-shift PRN position in a fast-paced, newly opened 17-bed unit. The role emphasizes a patient-centered plan of care and rapid discharge readiness for elective surgeries across multiple specialties.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage care delivery across the continuum, and contribute to establishing standardized workflows on a unit designed for high efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Nursing degree.
• State or Compact License; TN license within 60 days of TN address, even if compact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
